Your success is our success. For over 5 years RecycleFirst has worked with organizations large and small to promote recycling and the use of recycled content products while helping to raise funds for more than 6,000 clients. Take advantage of our experience and expertise and let us help you create a successful business plan.
Planning for success:
- A goal must be determined
- The market and product must be defined
- A sales team recruited
- An inventory and distribution plan designed
- Financial controls established
- A marketing plan outlined and executed
And most importantly:
Someone must be in charge
Recycling as a fund raiser:
- A positive social image
- An educational opportunity
- A virtually unlimited supply of “collectibles”
- A chance to make a real difference
- A program with no time limit, the longer it runs the more successful it is
- An easy to manage program
- No inventory or distribution
- No cash to keep track of
- No “fund raising” fatigue

Setting a Goal |
Recycling is a goal unto itself. It is necessary. One person can make a difference. It teaches a lesson that can last a lifetime. Recycle for a better tomorrow is more than just a catch phrase
Financial goals are easy to set and will be the determining factor in your “marketing” plan.

Reaching Your Financial Goals |
- Do the math
- The average acceptance rate for all recyclable products in the program is 70%. If you collect 100 ink jet cartridges on average you will be paid for 70 of them. If you collect only the laser cartridges on the list your acceptance percentage grows significantly.
- The more recycling materials you distribute the more money you will make.
- Try the friends and family approach. Recruit 100 volunteers. (Easy to do in a school, membership based organization, business atmosphere, or any organization with a membership list or a community presence) For example, ask each volunteer to hand out 20 recycling bags to friends and family for phones or ink jet cartridges. You now have 2000 bags circulating.
- Ask the business community to donate their laser cartridges. You will be surprised by the positive response. You can help them solve an annoying problem and benefit financially.
- Be patient
- It takes 90 days on average for the first returns to roll in.
- Be positive and communicate
- Some groups collect and collect and are disappointed at the results only to find that there are only certain cartridges are paid for but all cartridges can and will be disposed of based on. Communicate this information to your people and the numbers eventually fall your way
 Reaching the Customer |
The RecycleFirst programs make it very easy for you to reach the customer. Not many people carry their ink jet, laser cartridge or used cell phone with them.
Our programs offer a wide variety of free collection materials that allow you to bring the collection process to the point of recycling, the home or office. No matter what your collection and marketing plan RecycleFirst has the solution you need.
 Advertising |
Community organizations, not-for-profits, schools, youth sports etc all have a natural constituency. The more the members know the more successful the program.
Use your local media, newspapers, radio stations, libraries, or the friendly corner retail establishment.
